Greece passport photo size & rules
Greece uses the 35x45mm format for passports and national ID cards, equal to 413x531 pixels at 300 dpi. Greek passports are issued by the Hellenic Police, and the photo must follow the ICAO biometric standard used across the EU: the face should occupy about 70-80% of the frame, with the head measuring roughly 32-36mm from chin to crown. A specific Greek feature is that photos are often supplied together with a digital file and a code from an approved photographer, so the same image exists in both print and digital form.
The background should be plain and light, either a uniform light grey or white, without shadow, gradient, or texture. Face the camera directly with a neutral expression and mouth closed, both eyes open and clearly visible, and the head straight rather than tilted. Greece asks for the whole face to be shown, uncovered from the forehead to the chin, in sharp focus. Glasses should be removed where possible; if worn, there must be no reflection or tinted lenses. Head coverings are only accepted for religious reasons, provided the full face remains visible. The photo must be recent and reflect your current appearance.
Pixohub formats your Greek passport or ID photo to 413x531 pixels following the biometric standard directly in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and your image stays private on your own device, and the tool is free. Requirements from the Hellenic Police and Greek consulates are updated over time, and the approved-photographer digital process can differ from a photo you supply yourself. Always confirm the current official specifications with the relevant Greek authority or consulate before printing or submitting your photo.
