Iran passport photo size & rules
Iranian passports are issued through the passport police under the law enforcement force (historically NAJA), which manages the application and biometric enrollment process at designated passport offices. The photo you supply must be 35 by 45 millimetres, and at 300 dpi it prints to a sharp image of approximately 413 by 531 pixels. Applicants should look straight at the camera with a neutral expression, eyes open and mouth closed, so the portrait captures a clear and honest likeness.
For Iranian travel documents the head must be centered and prominent, with the face taking up roughly three quarters of the vertical frame from chin to crown. A plain white background is required to keep the surround clean and uniform. Women should have a headscarf in accordance with dress requirements while keeping the full face, from the chin to the hairline, clearly visible; glasses that cause glare or hide the eyes should be avoided. A recent, accurate photo is important because the passport is used for visa processing and international travel.
Pixohub enables you to crop and resize an Iran passport photo to these dimensions directly in your web browser, with straightforward tools for positioning the head. The work happens entirely on your device, so your photo is never uploaded and stays private, and using the tool is free. Because official requirements can be updated, please verify the current rules with the passport police or the relevant passport office before you print or submit your photograph.
