Kuwait passport photo size & rules
Kuwait issues its passports and civil identity documents through the Public Authority for Civil Information together with the Ministry of Interior, which manage biometric records and travel document personalization for citizens and residents. Unlike the common 35 by 45 format, a Kuwait passport photo uses a larger 40 by 60 millimetre size, which at 300 dpi prints to approximately 472 by 709 pixels. Face the camera directly, keep a neutral expression with the mouth closed, and make sure both eyes are open and clearly visible.
With the taller Kuwaiti format, the head must still be centered and sized so the face is prominent, filling a large share of the frame from the chin to the top of the head without being cut off. A plain white background is required to keep the surround clean for biometric use. Hats and caps are not accepted, though head coverings worn for religious reasons are allowed as long as the full face remains visible. Glasses should not create glare or hide the eyes. A recent, accurate photo is important because the Kuwaiti passport is used for visa applications and travel across the Gulf and beyond.
Pixohub lets you crop and resize a Kuwait passport photo to the 40 by 60 millimetre specification right inside your browser, positioning the head precisely with simple tools. Because the image is processed locally, it is never uploaded and stays private on your device, and the tool is free to use. As official requirements can be updated, please verify the current rules with the Public Authority for Civil Information or the Ministry of Interior before you print or submit your photograph.
